My Favorite Things, Chapter 2: Keswick Vineyards
Given that Project Wedding featured a Becca Bee Events wedding, held at Keswick Vineyards, on their blog just yesterday, I find it appropriate that this chapter of my favorite things in Central Virginia focuses on none other than Keswick Vineyards! If you’ve been following this little blog mini-series that I’ve got going on, you’ll know that we’re staying in Charlottesville’s picturesque neighbor, Keswick.
Keswick Vineyards is a 400-acre estate, functioning vineyard, wedding and event venue, and private home. The Schornberg family owns and operates the vineyard, and yes, they really do live there! The home is, therefore, not open to the public, but the Schornbergs have given their event clients a breathtaking outdoor canvas on which to create their masterpiece. The site is equipped with a pool (not for swimming, but for photo ops and cocktails); two lawns from which to select your ceremony site; a Sperry tent (!!!) and gazebo; and enviable privacy. You, your wedding party, and your guests will have the property to yourselves, so feel free to put your little touches everywhere! (And if you haven’t already, check out Julie & Tim’s little touches and gorgeous old world glam for inspiration!)
One of the best things about this property is that you’re amongst a family, and you begin to feel like you’re a part of the family. If I could bottle and sell “loving, wholesome family vibes” for everyone on their wedding day, I’d make a fortune! And that’s what clients get at Keswick Vineyards. By giving of themselves, the Schornberg family has made me want to be on their property more often. (In fact, I do go pretty often! They have an annual Fourth of July event with live music that’s great for the kiddos. And my husband just LOVES that Art Garfunkel once owned the home!) To all brides and grooms, I think this is a superb spot for you to begin your family.
