I knew I’d like Cristina from the first moment I spoke with her. She is very patient, loving, and warm, yet she is decisive. My kind of bride! Her vision for her early afternoon brunch reception was the perfect expression of who she is, and who she and Dan are as a couple. She created a timeless, elegant, and classic day with the color palette of platinum and ivory, and warmed it up with family photos and meaningful gifts and toasts.
Cristina and Dan chose downtown Fredericksburg for their wedding, no doubt because it is bursting with charm, historical relevance and things to do. Much like them, it is timeless. I was thrilled to hear they had selected The Kenmore Inn as the site for their 80 person brunch reception! The Kenmore Inn is a beautiful setting, a charming inn, and a phenomenal restaurant. The chef creates absolutely mouth-watering meals, and Crissy and Dan’s menu was over-the-top yummy. Their meal was served buffet style in the upstairs back formal dining room of the Kenmore Inn, which features an amazing tin ceiling. In fact, their reception wisely utilized the entire first floor. Guests were seated in the main dining room with the bar arranged in the sitting room across the hall; the string trio played in the back hall and family photos and the couple’s cake were featured prominently in the main hall. Crissy and Dan opted for a shorted brunch reception following their noon Catholic ceremony, so a large dance floor was not necessary. The timing of the event flowed well, as guests were never without something to do or see or taste. Even their bubble send-off tickled the senses of each guest–the children especially enjoyed the bubbles bursting on their noses! It was a beautiful June day in every way!
